MONTRÉAL, CANADA (2020-03-18) – Today, the Organizing Committee for the World Hydrogen Technologies Convention (WHTC) is pleased to announce the first three Premium Sponsors of the upcoming WHTC together with f-cell+HFC – Digital Edition event on June 20-24, 2021. Ballard Power Systems, Hydro-Québec and Hydrogen Optimized will be joining the event as Bronze Sponsors, providing prominent industry speakers, chairing conference sessions and hosting attendees in the international networking hub.

At WHTC 2021, local and international attendees will have the opportunity to present their technical findings and advancements in hydrogen and fuel cells, as well as participate in f-cell+HFC The Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Event for business marketing and networking. As Bronze Sponsors, these industry leaders help create the necessary base for the event’s stimulating scientific program and strong industry platform.

“Ballard Power Systems is a proud member of the CHFCA and supports the Canadian Hydrogen Strategy with expertise and major fuel cell projects at home and abroad. The annual f-cell+HFC event, as well as this year’s World Hydrogen Technologies Convention, is a great opportunity to meet and exchange knowledge with our partners, clients and stakeholders.”Randy MacEwen, President and CEO, Ballard Power Systems

“Hydrogen is an energy vector that can help us in the important energy transition that is underway. It will help decarbonize the economy by allowing indirect electrification where direct electrification is not technically or economically feasible, such as industrial processes, heavy transport and chemical processes. Supporting CHFCA and WHTC f-cell+HFC convention to help expand knowledge and awareness of current and upcoming hydrogen technology is perfectly in line with our vision for a carbon-free future.”Sophie Brochu, President and CEO, Hydro-Québec

“With the large-scale adoption of hydrogen inevitable, this is the time for Canada to be front stage in a global hydrogen technology event. Hydrogen Optimized is happy to sponsor this event, as we are on the cutting edge of technical advancement in large scale hydrogen production with our RuggedCell™ Water electrolysers. My father chaired the WHEC committees in Canada in 1984 and 2002, so now when we are advancing large-scale Green Hydrogen production further than ever before, it’s only fitting we take a role at WHTC.”Edward (Ted) Stuart, Co-Founder and VP Product Strategy, Hydrogen Optimized

This year’s event takes place online – a first for WHTC – and offers live content with interactive Q&A; active networking hubs for participants, companies and organizations; and a host of meeting and matchmaking features. Registration is open on the website,, and Early Bird discounted tickets are available until March 31st.
